FAQ
In case of broken teeth, broken blades or insufficient blade life, lay the broken blade on the floor. Check any defects of the body and teeth, look for them in the tables and you will find the solution to your cutting problem.
By cliclking on the most common problem listed below You will get a first immediate assistance for solving Your customer problem.
1. TEETH ARE EXCESSIVELY AND PREMATURELY WORN OUT
- Feeding pressure is too light, increase
- Reduce wheel speed
- Poor cooling
- Emulsion not appropriate
- Incorrect toothing, user finer pitch
- Incorrect blade break-in
- Teeth go in opposite direction, turn the blade
2. THE BLADE VIBRATES
- Increase or decrease the blade speed
- Dull vibration: increase blade tension
- Teeth are too big for the piece to be cut
- Dull vibration in the base: decrease the cutting pressure
- High frequency vibration: increase head descent
- Material not perfectly blocked
- Use variable pitch or positive toothing
3. THE TEETH BREAK
- Teeth are too big for the piece to be cut
- Material is not perfectly blocked
- Coolant is not suitable
- Insufficient coolant
- Cutting pressure is too high: check the chips
- Blade speed is too low
- Gullets are overloaded with cut material
4. CUTTING SURFACE IS TOO ROUGH
- Choose a finer toothing
- Increase blade speed
- Decrease head descent
- Use a better proportion of coolant
5. BLADE PREMATURELY BREAKS
- Blade thickness is too high for wheel diameters
- Blade guides too open at high speed
- Increase or decrease speed
- Check the wheels without defects
- Toothing too coarse
- Blade tension is too high: blade fl at raises at the sides
- Feeding pressure too high: the back of the blade
- is shiny and pressed down
- Blade guides are too tight: blade fl at winds up like a spring
- The narrower they are, the more it twists
- Coolant is scarce
6. BELLY SHAPED CUTS
- Increase tension
- Move the blade guides towards the cut
- Teeth are too fine
- Decrease the cutting pressure
7. CURVED CUT
- Move the blade guides towards the cut
- Check the piece base parallel with the piece
- Check the perpendicularity of the blade: if off, move guides
- Teeth are broken or chipped
8. BLADE MAKES A NOISE ON TOP GUIDES
- Rectify the back
- Check wheel alignment
- Check top guide wear
- Weld not perfect
9. THE BLADE ARCHES POSITIVELY
- Reduce the cutting pressure
- Use larger teeth to increase penetration
- Move the blade guides towards the cut
10. THE BLADE ARCHES NEGATIVELY
- The back forces on top guides
- Check span on the wheel beat and on top guides with the blade stopped and the blade in movement
- Check wheel alignment
11. LOW CUTTING RATE, FINE CHIPS
- Increase blade speed
- Increase cutting pressure
- Use coarser teeth
- Use suitable coolant
12. PREMATURE LOSS OF SET
- Radius of curvature too narrow for the blade
- Reduce blade speed
- Increase coolant
13. THE BLADE TWISTS LIKE A SPRING
- Blade is too wide for the radius to be cut
- Reduce feeding pressure
- Reduce blade tension
- Move the blade guides towards the cut
- Guides too tight
14. CHIP WELDED TO THE TOOTH, CHIPS TOO BIG
- Decrease feeding pressure
- Use suitable and abundant coolant
- Replace or adjust brushes
15. THE BLADE IS MARKED OR SRATCHED ON ONE SIDE
- Check the blades guide inserts for wear
- The inserts press too much on the back of the blade
- Check alignment and perpendicularity of the blade guides
16. BURR OR HEADING ON THE BACK
- Increase the tension and adjust the blade guides
- Check the pressure and alignment of the top guides
- Reduce cutting pressure
- Use coarser toothing
17. THE CUT PIECE HAS BLACK MARKS
In the back slides on the cut are:
- On the left: the left blade guide is out of axis
- On the right: the right blade guide is out of axis
On the entire cutting line:
- both guides are out of axis or
- the pressure is excessive or
- the blade tension is low or
- the teeth are too fine and do not unload
